Our Path to Sustainability

Okanagan College is taking three steps forward towards becoming a sustainable institution.

At a time when major changes in how we think, work and live are urgently needed, a group of Okanagan College staff and students is committing to make a difference.

OC’s Sustainability Team is tackling aggressive agenda for positive change. Our project is called 3 Steps Forward – our mission is to make Okanagan College environmentally, socially and economically sustainable.

In March 2009, our Sustainability Team recommended immediate, short-term steps the College can take to support ecological integrity, social responsibility and economic prosperity. At the end of April, we will also recommend an organizational structure to support the college’s development of a long-term sustainable plan.

3 Steps Forward is supported by passionate members from all areas of Okanagan College.
